We all have a song that captures our spirit and inspires us to live courageously. Many of us cherish favorite songs that help us unwind after a hectic day or get us moving on the dance floor. Music can also serve as a powerful gateway to evoke strong emotions. Mary, Queen of Angels was honored to represent Leading Age Tennessee at the recent National Leading Age conference held at the Music City Center in Nashville. Participants selected the songs that held the most meaning for them and shared why this song inspired them.
The graphic artist used sound waves and lyric filters to create these unique portraits, which were displayed at the Jimmy Dickens Terrace of the Music City Center from October 25 to November 1, 2024.
This public exhibit celebrates the intergenerational bond between elders and staff. Music has the power to empower you, inspire bravery, narrate your life’s highs and lows, and lift your spirits on challenging days. It is an anthem that encapsulates your inner strength and courage—your Walk On Song.

Mary Queen of Angels is honored to have the caregiver of the year for Leading Age Tennessee working with our residents. Barbara Murthy was honored with this prestigious award in July 2019. Barbara began working at Mary, Queen of Angels when the building opened in 2001.

Our Dining Team was awarded the honor of "Innovator of the Year" at the 2017 LeadingAge Tennessee Annual Conference held in Franklin, TN. "A Touch of Excellence in Dining" utilizes electronic ordering for the restaurant style menu provided. Orders are wireless sent to kitchen for streamlined response times and increased ability to order specific items to meet the residents desires.
